From a blog to social media like Facebook Twitter and YouTube. Why I mentioned these are simply because internet has infected our daily life like virus. Most of us can’t even live without connecting online.
In Indonesia, we have experienced fast growth in active users, mostly by mobile users. Based on a survey by Internet World Statistic, internet users in Indonesia has grown to 1000% in the last eight years from year 2000 – 2008. I’m keen on getting the 2009 statistic research as I believe it should be the fastest compare to years before. And rest assured, this percentage will increase vastly in years to come. (more…)
Kita semua tahu Friendster, salah satu social networking pertama yang merajai dunia online saat itu. Semua orang berlomba-lomba untuk memiliki account supaya dapat berinteraksi dengan rekan-rekannya. Friendster merupakan salah satu pemicu hadirnya website social networking lainnya yang bahkan lebih canggih dengan feature-feature yang inovatif. Kita bisa lihat Facebook dan Twitter dengan jutaan pemakai di seluruh dunia yang meng-update status mereka setiap detik.
Hal ini tentu saja menjadi salah satu alasan yang mendorong pemakai tersebut memasuki dunia online. Bahkan beberapa orang tua yang saya kenal tidak pernah membayangkan internet sama sekali, sekarang memiliki account di Facebook dan belajar berinteraksi dengan keluarga dan teman-temannya. Marketing research is a process of gathering, recording and analyzing information in certain areas or locations. It includes research for customers, competitors and the overall people who lives in the target market.
In general, marketing research includes:
1. Market research
Very broad range of examinations including all aspects in the business environment. competitors, market structure, government regulations, trends, education, technology advances and other factors that make up the big impact to business environment.
2. Product research
Examine what products can be produced and launched base on the available technology.
3. Advertising research
Examine what type of ads will suit the market and attract people to look for the products. A pre-testing should be brought up to predicts market performance before developing the ads. There is also a research to calculate the effectiveness of the ads after its launch.
Just a suggestion for people who are in marketing or sales or anyone who needs to meet clients. Once the client notices that you are looking at the clock. They will generally ask if you’re in a hurry. The negative side is, it seems like that you are trying to tell the client that the meeting with them is not that important and you need to jump off the meeting.
You might have been late for another event, but actually being late for 15 or 20 minutes won’t kill you at all, but you’ll have clients that happy and appreciate your time for them. Yes, you might said, what if the client is not understanding and have taken too many hours of your time. Well, that’s why time management is important. Try to arrange so the time is not too close between meetings. Setting up a spare time of one or two hours should be enough.
This might be not too important suggestion, but give good impact in relationship with client.
Bus advertising is there for a long time already. In Indonesia, It is used everywhere as well, but not as much as, and mostly just plain ordinary ads with a bit of text and graphics.
Putting some creative in doing the ads could really attract people looking at it. What’s the point of advertise it this expensive if only a small amount of people looking at it.
